Abstract
The cost of digital health interventions has been seen as a barrier to scaling and sustaining programs Similarly the high cost of training health workers is a key cost for countries as they build the skills of their workforce However digital health can improve quality of care effectiveness and efficiency of services and may provide significant cost savings DAI will present on a costing model that was developed in 2014 to compare the cost of traditional training of CHWs in Nigeria to blended learning and resulted in a cost savings of up to 42 MCSP will explain how they built upon this model to strengthen the business case for mPowering Frontline Health Workers The model was updated to include digital content management and creation as well as maintenance and still showed cost savings of 20 40 Makerere University will present how they used this model to make the business case for engaging in the OpenDeliver process with plans to support the training of 15 000 healthworker Speakers include Steve Ollis MCSP JSIBobby Jefferson DAIAlice Liu mPowering Frontline Health WorkersAllen Nsangi Makerere UniversityPamela Riley MODERATOR Abt Associates Steve Ollis Steve Ollis
