dc.description.abstractThe rapid rise and spread of digital technologies and data to improve health outcomes has outpaced the human capacity to manage and use the technologies themselves Using digital technologies does not remove the need for human capacity it increases it There is a critical need to strengthen technological literacy and capacity specifically that of local staff and national communities of practice who work long term in the countries where technologies are deployed Human capacity must be invested in and built over time not rushed in when a disaster strikes or when a system breaks Software engineers data scientists business analysts etc are all vital to a healthy digital health sector This session dives deeper into the drivers of building sustainable ICT capacity for digital health projects at all levels of the development ecosystem from NGOs to donors to national government to regional initiatives Presented by Kate Wilson CEO Digital Impact Alliance
