dc.description.abstractInteractive Session Incorporating Entertainment Education into your Digital Program Design Join this session to gain practical and participatory skills where you will learn to developing scenario based learning content for use on mobile phones This session is primarily about how to bring the power of story and drama into mobile based learning formats We want to share with participants how to move beyond the simple sharing of information to including stories dramas that are interesting and engaging We will show how to develop content that attracts and holds the learner s attention and provides the realistic scenarios and choices that will facilitate learning We will use an example from a recent experience developing an app to strengthen family planning counseling skills among health providers in Nepal The content was developed by the health providers themselves We will also share how to develop this content in a participatory way where the end users themselves are developing the content Finally it is a practical whereparticipants in the workshop will develop scenario based educational content Presented by Caroline Jacoby Senior Program Officer Johns Hopkins Center for Communication ProgramsJane Brown Senior Program Officer Johns Hopkins Center for Communication ProgramsCaitlin Loehr Program Officer Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs
