dc.description.abstract | Responsible data practice has become a popular and important topic in international development particularly in health Using digital technology for data collection sharing and use holds huge potential Data however come with risks especially for vulnerable populations Over the last three years USAID has been probing the current policies legal frameworks and international best practices to develop Responsible Data Practice Guidelines for use by USAID staff IPs and development practitioners In addition to development of the Guidelines USAID has been working with internal stakeholders from the Office of the Chief Information Officer M CIO the Global Development Lab and the Office of Policy Planning and Learning PPL to discuss integration of the Practice Guidelines into the Agencies work This panel presentation will highlight the role of responsible data in the Agency the Practice Guidelines themselves and how the Agency is considering their use Speakers included Jake Watson Senior Director Platforms Services Digital Impact Alliance DIAL Otilia Flavian Gowelle Director of training and Human Resource Development for Health Ministry of Health TanzaniaKrista Baptista Senior Director DAIRebecca Saxton Fox ICT Policy Advisor USAIDIsaac Dambula Deputy Director of Planning Ministry of Health and Population Malawi | |
