dc.description.abstractIt appears a natural fit using digital technology and its many private personalizable channels to improve young people s sexual and reproductive health SRH In this session presenters explored the reality using the results of studies to assess the potential and actual effect of youth targeted digital health interventions from LMICs Potential From Rwanda Malawi YTH presented community insights data from their formative studies around how digital technology can prevent unplanned pregnancy and improve employment skills and linkages to education training and youth friendly providers Pilot From Nigeria the results of FHI360 s SMART Connections study assessing feasibility and acceptability of online support groups using Facebook among adolescents living with HIV Proof From Kenya WHO presented preliminary results of its ARMADILLO Study an RCT to assess the effect of on demand SMS based information to youth in dispelling myths and misconceptions related to contraception Speakers included Tigest Tamrat MODERATOR Technical Officer WHO Laiah Idelson Strategic Partnerships and Innovations Lead YTH Lianne Gonsalves Technical Officer WHO Trinity Zan Technical Advisor FHI 360
