dc.description.abstractThe Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage JLN is a community of policymakers and practitioners working together to bridge the gap between healthcare theory and practice Through a unique model for joint problem solving JLN members build on real experience to create and experiment with new ideas and tools for expanding health coverage and improving health outcomes Presenters showcased newly released case studies on data governance and data use developed by the JLN s Data Foundations collaborative The case studies highlight best practices and lessons learned contributed by this group of health care data professionals from 10 countries The session highlighted South Korea s experience and illustrate the importance of sound data governance when designing and implementing digital information solutions in the pursuit of universal health coverage Participants from Kenya Nigeria and South Korea shared experiences with data governance in chronic disease management claims data utilization and financial management Rob Eichler MODERATOR Managing Consultant Wipro Caren Althauser Digital Health Consulting Services Lead PATH Won Whang Manager Department of International Relations National Health Insurance Service South Korea Joshua Kolajo Principal Manager ICT National Health Insurance Scheme Nigeria Helen Kiarie Deputy Head Health Sector Monitoring and Evaluation Unit MOH Kenya
