Abstract
This session showcases the implementation of electronic disease surveillance programs in three countries in Africa Democratic Republic of the Congo DRC Guinea and Tanzania In this session participants will learn about the development pilot and roll out of an eIDSR system in Tanzania that was ultimately successful because of the provision of mentorship for users of the eIDSR system at the health facility level which reduced reporting mistakes and increased real time reporting of health data Participants will also learn how the eIDSR systems in Guinea and Tanzania are linked with DHIS2 with all the visualizations data analysis and feedback implemented in DHIS2 Finally participants will hear about the use of DHIS2 to support the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in the DRC Visualizations were created to summarize outbreak data and GIS tools allowed for real time mapping of the data DHIS2 Tracker was implemented for the first time in DRC to support monitoring of contacts to Ebola cases Speakers include Jamiru MpiimaJamiru Mpiima Uusmane Ly MOH PATH DRCEileen Reynolds RTI InternationalJoseph Joachim Joseph Ministry of Health TanzaniaMaeghan Orton MODERATOR WHO
