Abstract
The Power of Community Engagement The Ebola vaccine Deployment Acceptance and Compliance EBODAC project was set up as part of the Innovative Medicines Initiatives Ebola Programme The aim of the project is to provide communications technology and community engagement support for the clinical trial evaluating a heterologous prime boost Ebola vaccination regimen in Sierra Leone This trial is set up in an area with limited healthcare infrastructure and experience of clinical trials and where the community exhibits a lack of trust Participants will be able to engage with this biometric tool Next Do you want to empower communities to create their own health messaging During this session participants will learn an innovative approach to support locally created videos Projecting Health is a cost effective community driven social and behavior change communication model that empowers frontline health workers and community members to conceptualize produce disseminate and act in videos that address the specific health needs of their community with highly targeted and relevant information Presented by Monica Amposah Regional Program Manager Grameen Foundation Ghana
