Abstract
This panel will review global health information data standardization integration and health information exchange and current global efforts Speakers will address challenges in data standardization and highlight key areas where progress is still needed to strengthen national and subnational health information systems as part of the efforts for countries to reach their health related SDG 2030 targets The panelists will kick off the session with an overview of the landscape of global public health informatics and the current initiatives that realize informatics potential to advance public health Then they will deep dive into public health use cases on the importance for merging multiple data types and sources and transform data to information for public health action through advanced visualization techniques Finally the panelists will discuss the power of use of data from multiple sources and actions to directly affect the social determinant of health and advance health equity Ongoing efforts including capacity building interoperability labs and global collaborations on data and systems standards for health data will be shared Presented by Vikas DwivediSenior HIS AdvisorJohn Snow Inc Dr Boonchai KijsanayotinChairAsia eHealth Information Network AeHIN
